We’re delighted to share that the People’s Apothecary Garden (PAG), located at 62 North Cove Road, is now open for visits.

With heartfelt thanks to Carolyn Askew for generously hosting this space, we welcome you to explore the garden during daylight hours. Now home to over 60 medicinal plant species, the garden showcases a rich diversity of plants with a wide range of traditional and contemporary uses. May is an especially beautiful time to visit, as the garden comes into full expression.

The PAG is a demonstration garden maintained by ThINC, where we host seasonal workshops and activities. It is also a peaceful space for quiet exploration and learning. A site map and plant information cards will be available at the entrance to guide your visit.

Medicinal plants are species known for their healing or soothing properties when used appropriately, and many have multiple applications - from supporting the immune system to easing inflammation or promoting respiratory health. Across cultures and throughout history, people have relied on these plants, and many modern medicines are rooted in compounds first derived from them. While the broader healthcare system remains essential for serious conditions, cultivating knowledge of medicinal plants can support everyday wellness, resilience, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
